Wow, eight minutes of play time. Good job, me. I really just did this to show you the awesome trainer card I made. :D Anyway, here is my Pikachu, The Doctor. Those six boxes with the question marks are for other Pokemon that I'll be catching but not training. What could they be~? O:

And I only just now realize that I won't get my second Pokemon until after Pewter City, which means I have to fight Brock with only a Pikachu. It'll be just like the anime! :D *shot*

Second update, and the first of seven updates from when I was traveling. I kept my Pokemon notes in a small notepad for convenience, so if you're looking for super-detailed Pokemon stats, you won't find them in these updates.

Anyway, I leveled up The Doctor to 11 before battling Joel, my rival, for a second time on the road to Indigo Plateau. After beating him, I went back to Pallet and got 5 Poke Balls from Oak. Went through the Viridian Forest, leveling The Doctor up to 14 before I challenged Brock. I stopped for a bit before entering Mt. Moon, with The Doctor at level 18.



Made it through Mt. Moon. Well, almost. Last battle, The Doctor got poisoned. I knew that I was pretty much at the end of the cave, but I couldn't remember if there were other trainers I'd have to battle outside. So I turned around, went all the way back to the entrance, healed at the Pokemon Center, then went back through Mt. Moon, only to discover there were no other trainers to battle! x3x Moving on, in Cerulean, I got my second Pokemon!



Here's Martha, the Bulbasaur. I leveled her up to 20, evolved her, before going on to fight and beat Joel for the third time. I made it past the Nugget Bridge, and got--you guessed it, my third Pokemon.



I named my Charmander Donna, raised her to level 20, evolved her, and then decided it was time to challenge Misty.

I must've been tired or carsick because I decided to write down the levels and HP of my Pokemon before and after the battle, even though I didn't do that when I fought Brock, nor did I keep doing it for any other Gym battle after this. But, whatever.

I moved on to Vermilion, apparently, even though I wrote nothing about Vermilion in my notepad, aside from battling Joel for the fourth time on the S.S. Anne and wiping all of his Pokemon out with Donna! But I digress. ;D I taught Cut to Martha, and leveled all three of my Pokemon to 30 in preparation for the next Gym battle, which I decided to save for the next day.

After beating the Vermilion Gym, I obtained my third Pokemon!



Amy, my Squirtle, is named for Amy Pond, despite the fact that I'm still on season four of Doctor Who(and may remain there forever at this rate). I'm sure some of you might be wondering if I'm going to actually catch a Pokemon any time soon, since that is kind of the whole point of Pokemon(I have been catching Pokemon, just for fun, not for training(I've named all of them Mickey)). Well, not to worry, because after about half an hour of searching...



I found River Song. :D (haha, I bet you guys thought it would be Rory) I spent what felt like ages leveling her, until she evolved at level 16 and finally learned a move that could actually do some damage. Then I leveled and evolved Amy at 20, and continued to train her and River until they reached level 30 with the rest of the team.



Since I can't use any other Pokemon except the ones I've already picked, and I want all of the moves they learn to be helpful to me throughout the rest of the game, I decided not to teach any of them Flash. So I'll be going through Rock Tunnel--my least favorite part of the game, even when I do have Flash--completely blind. O:

Made it through Rock Tunnel, which could've been easier except I couldn't remember if there were items in there in the first generation(there weren't). So I tried looking for items in the dark, but found trainers instead.

I didn't stay in Lavender for long before heading over to Celadon. I found a magical slot machine and got 900 coins in the Game Corner. Thinking about it, I could have traded in coins and gotten an Abra there, thus making my whole team consist of Pokemon I didn't actually catch. But I need all the coins I can get for one of my bonus Pokemon, and River Song is special enough to waste a few Poke Balls on.

Hmm, there was something else to do in Celadon, wasn't there? Oh well, I'm sure I'll remember. For now, I've leveled my team up to 33, and headed back to Pokemon Tower to fight Joel for the fifth time.

I beat Joel, but forgot the Silph Scope! So I went back to Celadon and got distracted by the slot machines again(I got up to 2650 coins). Then I picked up 230 coins from the floor! Which I got all excited about because I never knew there were coins on the floor before. :D

Then I remembered that I could have gotten my last Pokemon already, so I went to do that.



And with Rose, the team is complete. <3

Alright, no more derping around, time for the first battle against Giovanni!

I beat Giovanni, got the Silph Scope, leveled Rose to 30, evolved her into Vaporeon, and headed back to Pokemon Tower.



Maybe next time we'll finally go past the second floor! :D
