Set Team challenge.
Updates are below:

1---5/2/12

Wow, eight minutes of play time. Good job, me. I really just did this to show you the awesome trainer card I made. :D Anyway, here is my Pikachu, The Doctor. Those six boxes with the question marks are for other Pokemon that I'll be catching but not training. What could they be~? O:
And I only just now realize that I won't get my second Pokemon until after Pewter City, which means I have to fight Brock with only a Pikachu. It'll be just like the anime! :D *shot*

4---5/5/12

7---5/8/12
8---5/9/12

Everybody's leveled up, so I went on to battle Koga. I was still under leveled, but it was easier to beat him than Sabrina. After that, I spent the rest of the day surfing to Cinnabar and trying to level my Pokemon as much as possible.

2---5/3/12
Second update, and the first of seven updates from when I was traveling. I kept my Pokemon notes in a small notepad for convenience, so if you're looking for super-detailed Pokemon stats, you won't find them in these updates.
Anyway, I leveled up The Doctor to 11 before battling Joel, my rival, for a second time on the road to Indigo Plateau. After beating him, I went back to Pallet and got 5 Poke Balls from Oak. Went through the Viridian Forest, leveling The Doctor up to 14 before I challenged Brock. I stopped for a bit before entering Mt. Moon, with The Doctor at level 18.

Made it through Mt. Moon. Well, almost. Last battle, The Doctor got poisoned. I knew that I was pretty much at the end of the cave, but I couldn't remember if there were other trainers I'd have to battle outside. So I turned around, went all the way back to the entrance, healed at the Pokemon Center, then went back through Mt. Moon, only to discover there were no other trainers to battle! x3x Moving on, in Cerulean, I got my second Pokemon!

Here's Martha, the Bulbasaur. I leveled her up to 20, evolved her, before going on to fight and beat Joel for the third time. I made it past the Nugget Bridge, and got--you guessed it, my third Pokemon.

I named my Charmander Donna, raised her to level 20, evolved her, and then decided it was time to challenge Misty.
I must've been tired or carsick because I decided to write down the levels and HP of my Pokemon before and after the battle, even though I didn't do that when I fought Brock, nor did I keep doing it for any other Gym battle after this. But, whatever.

How exciting.
I moved on to Vermilion, apparently, even though I wrote nothing about Vermilion in my notepad, aside from battling Joel for the fourth time on the S.S. Anne and wiping all of his Pokemon out with Donna! But I digress. ;D I taught Cut to Martha, and leveled all three of my Pokemon to 30 in preparation for the next Gym battle, which I decided to save for the next day.

3---5/4/12
After beating the Vermilion Gym, I obtained my third Pokemon!

Amy, my Squirtle, is named for Amy Pond, despite the fact that I'm still on season four of Doctor Who(and may remain there forever at this rate). I'm sure some of you might be wondering if I'm going to actually catch a Pokemon any time soon, since that is kind of the whole point of Pokemon(I have been catching Pokemon, just for fun, not for training(I've named all of them Mickey)). Well, not to worry, because after about half an hour of searching...

I found River Song. :D (haha, I bet you guys thought it would be Rory) I spent what felt like ages leveling her, until she evolved at level 16 and finally learned a move that could actually do some damage. Then I leveled and evolved Amy at 20, and continued to train her and River until they reached level 30 with the rest of the team.

Since I can't use any other Pokemon except the ones I've already picked, and I want all of the moves they learn to be helpful to me throughout the rest of the game, I decided not to teach any of them Flash. So I'll be going through Rock Tunnel--my least favorite part of the game, even when I do have Flash--completely blind. O:

4---5/5/12
Made it through Rock Tunnel, which could've been easier except I couldn't remember if there were items in there in the first generation(there weren't). So I tried looking for items in the dark, but found trainers instead.
I didn't stay in Lavender for long before heading over to Celadon. I found a magical slot machine and got 900 coins in the Game Corner. Thinking about it, I could have traded in coins and gotten an Abra there, thus making my whole team consist of Pokemon I didn't actually catch. But I need all the coins I can get for one of my bonus Pokemon, and River Song is special enough to waste a few Poke Balls on.
Hmm, there was something else to do in Celadon, wasn't there? Oh well, I'm sure I'll remember. For now, I've leveled my team up to 33, and headed back to Pokemon Tower to fight Joel for the fifth time.

5---5/6/12
I beat Joel, but forgot the Silph Scope! So I went back to Celadon and got distracted by the slot machines again(I got up to 2650 coins). Then I picked up 230 coins from the floor! Which I got all excited about because I never knew there were coins on the floor before. :D
Then I remembered that I could have gotten my last Pokemon already, so I went to do that.

And with Rose, the team is complete. <3
Alright, no more derping around, time for the first battle against Giovanni!

6---5/7/12
I beat Giovanni, got the Silph Scope, leveled Rose to 30, evolved her into Vaporeon, and headed back to Pokemon Tower.

Maybe next time we'll finally go past the second floor! :D

Maybe next time we'll finally go past the second floor! :D
7---5/8/12
I made it through Pokemon Tower, got the Pokeflute, and cleared the Snorlax. After training my team to level 36, evolving Martha, Donna, and Amy, and teaching Fly to Donna, I felt it was time to take on the Celadon Gym... finally. XD

Beat Erika, then headed over to the Fighting Dojo in Saffron. I never could choose between Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, so this time I just didn't, haha. It's not like I really needed to, though, since any Pokemon I get now are just extras.
After that, I leveled the team up to 40 and moved on to explore Silph Co.

Inside Silph Co., I encountered Joel and beat him for the 6th time, and found Giovanni and beat him for the second time. :D I also got the Master Ball(hmm, I wonder which Pokemon I'll use that for...). My team, now all level 41, was now ready to take on Sabrina.

...Or so I thought. My level 41 team against her level 50 team was not a good idea. I was seriously under leveled, but I still won. I guess that's what I get for taking on the Gyms out of order. o3o
With that out of the way, I went down to Fuchsia, got Surf and Strength, taught Surf to Rose, and taught Surf and Strength to Amy before heading to Cycling Road to level up my team in preparation for Koga.

8---5/9/12

Everybody's leveled up, so I went on to battle Koga. I was still under leveled, but it was easier to beat him than Sabrina. After that, I spent the rest of the day surfing to Cinnabar and trying to level my Pokemon as much as possible.
9---5/10/12
I was running out of room in my bag and my PC for items, so I sold a whole bunch of TMs that I'd never use. My team had reached level 46 on my way through the Seafoam Islands, but that still wasn't enough to beat the next Gym, so I headed to Pokemon Mansion to level up more, get the Secret Key, and search for my first bonus Pokemon. Yay for multitasking! :D

10---5/14/12
Caught my first bonus Pokemon: a Ditto. Keeping with the Doctor Who nickname theme, I named him Jack. :D Shut up, I thought it was funny.
Anyway, everyone's level 50 now, but I'm still probably under leveled. Oh well, on to the battle with Blaine.

Yep, still under leveled. But I won, and that's what matters. Thank goodness I have two water types on my team. :3 But I'm really sick of not being a higher level than the Pokemon I'm battling, so I think it's time to fix that...

11---5/18/12
Trained! Took long enough, but now I can fight Giovanni.

And win. Awesomely. :D I headed towards Victory Road, where I battled and beat Joel for the seventh time. After making it to Indigo Plateau, I flew back to Celadon, and dedicated the rest of the day to getting the rest of the coins needed to get my second bonus Pokemon. I must have developed a system, because I went from 3100 coins to 9999 coins pretty quickly, and amazingly enough, the last coins that brought me up to 9999 came from a 7-7-7! O:
Naturally, I used those coins to get a Porygon that I named TARDIS. And now you're wondering why I named it that, because Porygon isn't even blue! Well, it is partially blue, but that's not the point.
1. It is a virtual Pokemon that can live in computers, and we all know that computers are bigger on the inside, just look at the internet! *shot*
2. Porygon's Pokedex entry in Yellow version: "The only Pokémon people anticipate can fly into space. None has managed the feat yet, however."
3. It can float/fly.
4. It can change its appearance, which the actual TARDIS would also do if the chameleon circuit was fixed!
The only thing is that Porygon is a manmade Pokemon, and TARDISes(what's the plural of TARDIS?) are grown. Anyway, end rant, and back to training!

12---6/2/12

Trained all to level 70.

And stocked up on items to prepare for the Elite Four. I had 10 Revives, 11 Full Heals, 10 Hyper Potions, 4 Max Potions, 6 Full Restores, and 5 Max Revives going into it. I can't remember how much of that I actually ended up using, but the Elite Four and Champion battles were super easy! O: I was actually kind of disappointed. Maybe if I hadn't trained my Pokemon so much it would've been more of a challenge, ahahaha.
Afterwards I went around catching Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, which I named Nine, Ten, and Eleven, respectively. :D
And now for the hardest part of this challenge: training my team to level 100.

13---1/3/13

...And then I disappeared into a cave for seven months! :D And not a single Rare Candy was used that day. But at least I got them all to level 100 eventually.
Let's take a moment to look at some Pokemon stats, shall we?
The Doctor
HP: 271
Attack: 200
Defense: 154
Speed: 262
Special: 196
I love him... but he's kinda useless. He's got the lowest Special, and second lowest HP and Defense. But he's my favorite Pokemon, so I've got to have him! ouo
Martha
HP: 341
Attack: 256
Defense: 256
Speed: 228
Special: 296
With the highest Attack and second highest Special, her main function while I was training the team was to save The Doctor when a Ground- or Rock-type Pokemon appeared, ahahah.
Donna
HP: 355
Attack: 250
Defense: 234
Speed: 284
Special: 252
Highest Speed! I loved having her whenever I ran into a Graveler. I'd use Fly, Graveler would use Explosion/Selfdestruct, and Donna would take no damage! :D
Amy
HP: 349
Attack: 256
Defense: 280
Speed: 244
Special: 268
Highest Defense, and tied with Martha for highest Attack. I don't really have much to say, aside from noting that she seemed to run out of moves really quickly. O:
River Song
HP: 269
Attack: 140
Defense: 144
Speed: 278
Special: 312
Oh where to begin. I found three (broken) link cables in my attempts to trade and evolve her, eventually just giving up. Maybe evolving her would've made some difference in her stats! She's got the highest Special and second highest Speed, but that doesn't really make up for having the lowest HP, lowest Attack, second lowest Defense. If I could redo this playthrough, I would've picked a Dratini instead of an Abra.
Rose
HP: 443
Attack: 198
Defense: 206
Speed: 206
Special: 288
Conversely, Rose is fantastic! :D Just look at that HP! She served as the Ice-type of the team, and was certainly the most helpful while training. I think I'll start including Vaporeon in my teams more often now...
So, moving on! After all were leveled, I retrieved a Master Ball from the PC, caught Mewtwo with it, and named it--what else?--The Master. ;D My Pikachu gave me a thumbs-up for the successful capture.
And on that note, I flew back to Pallet Town and saved the game for the last time.

Speaking of which, I commend you for not naming Abra Rory... It wouldn't have made much sense to me ;P Come to think of it, it would have made sense to call it OOD.
Anyway, I wanted to just make my team be the Doctor and his ladies(*shot*), with my six bonus Pokemon as any others(Jack, the TARDIS, etc.), and any random Pokemon I caught I would name Mickey. :3 I could've named my Aerodactyl Rory, but that would mean I'd have seven bonus Pokemon and I'd have to change my trainer card so that it would fit seven portraits and I don't really want to do that after all the time I spent making the thing in the first place. X3
also lol that typo made me picture a river of Tang (like a Fanta sea?) *shot*
xD Oh my goodness a river of Tang and a Fanta sea would be beautiful
But yay for a fellow Firefly fan! :D
