Legend has it that she stored away the greatest of her treasures in a magnificent chest, burying it so that none could steal it from her

THE GOLDEN TACO

There was a young upstart pirate named Maestra no-beard who desperately wished to chance upon this treasure

Maestra hid herself away in a crate of tacos in a village Xeta Tacohat was going to, successfully stowing away on her ship

Little lassie nobeard was very crafty, you see, and every night when the crew was sleeping

she would sneak out and search the ship for clues about the GOLDEN TACO

But alas. She found not a trace of information. THEN ONE NIGHT

Mae was spotted by one of the pirates of the crew! it was PIRATE MYSTE

However, instead of doing piratey things, Myste was sneaking out in the middle of the night to be Christmas! Which is not an extremely piratey thing to be

Christmyste agreed to Mae that he wouldn't reveal her position as long as he didn't tell any of his shipmates that he was Christmas.

They then formed the legendary STOWAWAY CHRISTMAS PACT which involved an exchanging of gifts

Christmyste gave Mae a schnazzy pirate hat. Mae didn't have any gifts so she just gave Christmyste her shoe.

The nights passed by, and Mae was becoming tired of the fact that she couldn't find anything on the treasure she searched for. She begged Christmyste to help her in her quest

Christmyste was UTTERLY TERRIFIED of what Cap'n Xeta would do to him if he gave away precious crew secrets, but he had become close friends with Mae. He revealed to her that the treasure was hidden

AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAAAAA

Mae was absolutely stumped, as she could not swim.

(probably because she was mae nobeard, and naturally beardless people cannot swim)

Christmyste, taking a huge risk, took Mae to the bottom of the ship in the dead of night. He revealed to her the MYSTICAL FISH TACO

Mae wrinkled her nose in disgust at the taco. Disgusting.

However, it wasn't just a disgusting taco! It was also a MAGICAL taco. Christmyste forced Mae to eat it, and she turned into a MERMAID

(we can call her Maemaid now)

Wishing her well, Christmyste dragged Maemaid up the stairs and then tossed her into the ocean.

Maemaid quickly learned how to swim. She made her way into the depths, asking directions from the various fish residents of the coral reef

POPE THE DIVE GUIDE THEN ENTERED THE STORY

Mae noticed a strange person coming down from above, a scuba mask upon his face

As Maemaid was hopelessly lost, she told her SAD SAD MERMAID TALE/TAIL heeheh to the dive guide

Dive guide Pope told Maemaid to take a left at the next giant algae covered boulder, go forward past the next two sunken ships, and then take a stop at the giant abyss

Pope was quite knowledgeable about pirate treasure, you see

Mermae did so, heading to the abyss. She was very BRAVE AND BOLD, and therefore swam down it, unsure of what lay in wait

Maemaid was not sure what to make of this. Her tail was turning quite ridiculous.

As in, she was morphing into human!Mae again.

However, magical fish tacos have everlasting effects. She was able to dance with all the sea folk and not die or anything tragic like that
