[sorry I never posted ahaha xD;;]
...The sweet, succulent scent of cheri berries filled the air, and not a single creature could resist. A lilting cottonee wafted towards the source. An easy victim. The swadloon, a commonly indifferent fellow, was also attracted. He couldn't pinpoint why exactly he was suddenly so enthusiastic about something. Perhaps, it was the one creating the scent that lulled him to such an extent. A prim Audino, as pink as a ripe peach, was busying herself rubbing off the last bits of the cheri berry tart she had created for the children. She poured all her love into creating sweet creations for her daycare Pokemon that she cared deeply for. What other way would she have it? "Come and get your desserts!" When she yelled down the hall, she startled some heads that were peeping out from behind the door---
"This doesn't seem very interesting. Girls read really boring stuff huh?" A huge voice boomed throughout the daycare, and the skittish kids scurried away into the den, without eating their cheri tart..
The (egghead) munna jumped, and her moderately uninteresting novel almost slipped out of her hands. My goodness Santa... you frightened me.. don't sneak up on me like that! You know I don't appreciate it!" She snapped, but still retained her vocabulary. The mischievous spheal seemed very happy with himself.
Noelle and Santa often stayed at school after the bell rang. Just like those in melancholy stories, they didn't really enjoy being at home. Santa's snobbish mother would always want his attention, and he'd have no time to himself. He would much rather be by himself, alone and in a pasture, or something of the sort. Not something idyllic necessarily, but just somewhere fun and exciting. All Santa wants to do is to explore. Adventure! See new places! Roll around in the mud and in the rain. Journey throughout lands and not care if his clothes get dirty. Peek below the craggy cliffs, inside the holes that contain krabby foaming at the mouths, or perhaps climb the trees (if he could, he'd have to roll because of his blubber) and say hello to the hoot-hoots that lull him to sleep at night.
His mother would have none of that.
This fanciful Walrein by the name of Neva wants him to be a fine gentleman, austere and businesslike. That's the only way to survive in such an orderly world, so to say. Of course, only the finest education will suffice, and the finest garments. Adventure? The word itself is absurd.
Noelle, too, wants to avoid her. She and Santa share the same father, but not the same mother. The munna has pent-up anger for this reason, for no one can replace her mother, especially such a tactful tyrant. What is she permitted to do at her house? Nothing but study, and read business books, with complaining droning on and on in both ears. Whatever she did wasn't good enough for the queen. She doted on Santa, praising him for every little thing. With Noelle she did the opposite, scolding her for every little thing. One instance would be when she mocked Noelle for her grades, noting how much better Santa's were, considering he was "younger so he doesn't know as much," even though he wasn't even that much younger. In reality, Noelle's grades were better and she was taking more rigorous courses. She even helped Santa with his constantly, and was the major benefactor in why he got decent marks.
Just thinking about the headache of a step-mother made Noelle scowl. Although she loved her half-brother Santa, she couldn't stand Neva. She was the accumulation of everything she disliked in a creature, and could almost say she hated her, if it weren't for her maid Lucia. She was the only loving mother figure that Noelle had, and was the only thing that kept her from butting heads with Neva twenty-four seven.
Noelle didn't keep Santa and his short-attention span for very long. "I'm going to find something fun to do. See ya." He began to roll his way out of the library, but faced obstacles. He reconsidered holding his frisbee in his mouth when he ran into several pokemon and a book cart. He must have hit it harder than expected, because the book cart toppled over with a huge CRASH! Santa wanted to get out of this horribly boring place more than ever, so he tried to pull some sweet ninja moves. They didn't work as well as expected and tripped a teacher instead. Santa winced, and darted into the hall before the particularly angry teacher started lecturing him. Noelle then proceeded to hide her face in the book, pretending like she didn't know him.
