I just thought it would be cool to get to know some of the artists on this site, so I came up with this (short) questionnaire.

Sorry if you think some of these questions are stupid.

My answers

When did you start drawing?
- I started drawing anime since grade 7 (so 2011-ish). But it wasn't until like April this year I started doing drawings on a regular basis (before that it'd be like 2-4 a month).

Why did you start drawing?
- Because I (generally) always liked the way anime looked, so when I came across one of those "how to draw Manga" books, like the borderline weeaboo I was (and still am), I picked it up immediately.

What influenced your art style (the way you draw)?
- Dangan Ronpa, actually. I REALLY liked that style, so one day I tried to emulate it, and then it kind of stuck. Before that, I drew more chibi styled characters based off that old book I mentioned.

What do you typically like to draw?
- People in various (almost) fantasy-ish clothing (ie. armour, robes, etc.) of my own design. That or gijinkas, and the occasional character from a series (like Fire Emblem).

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing?
- I like the designs of my characters.

What are your weaknesses?
- Drawing in profile, proportions, hands, etc.

What, under any circumstance, will you NEVER want to draw?
- Porn, or anything overly fanservice-y (ie. I will NEVER draw Nowi from FE, at least waist up)

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters?
- I'm about even.

How often do you draw?
- Several times a week, that's for sure.

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)?
- An hour, and then an additional, say 3 hours, of nit-picking.

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future?
- Continue to improve, become popular on the internet.

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private?
- I always show people my work.

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing?
- 6.5/10, if I'm honest. I'm very inconsistent.

When did you start drawing?
-when i could hold a pencil

Why did you start drawing?
-i can't actually remember, i was a small child hahah

-pokemon, and anime was somewhat of an influence too, but not any specific one. my style has hopefully passed the anime phase now, lol

What do you typically like to draw?
-cats and pokemon

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing?
-i think i can draw animals pretty decently

What are your weaknesses?
-i need to get better at humans, and full body drawings

-nsfw things

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters?
-female characters

How often do you draw?
-i've fallen into an art slump this year, so not much lately D:

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)?
-at least 2-3 hours, because i am slow and a perfectionist

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future?
-not sure. people have always told me to persue a career in it but i don't know if i'd enjoy it

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private?
-i usually keep them private from rl people. i don't like the feeling of people judging me for liking pokemon at the age of 20 :1

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing?
-hmm, i feel like i'm happy with how the things i draw come out now, but i know i still have a lot of room to improve, so i'd say a 7?

When did you start drawing?
Since before I started school, but I didn't start drawing with a tablet until I was 12.

Why did you start drawing?
I don't remember! But it passes the time and keeps me from falling asleep in class.

What influenced your art style (the way you draw)?
Mainly other artists' styles. I'm especially fond of Namie's and Rella's works.

What do you typically like to draw?
OCs in random clothes. Pokemon and fanart of characters/series I like are also fun, I just don't do them much anymore.

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing?
Coloring/shading, clothing design. I think I'm getting pretty good at lining BUT I ACTUALLY HATE MAKING LINEART LOL

What are your weaknesses?
Anatomy and perspective. My roughs are pretty messy which is also probably why I hate lining so much. I'm ridiculously slow while drawing in general orz

What, under any circumstance, will you NEVER want to draw?
Overly NSFW/R-18??? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters?
Female...I think.

How often do you draw?
It varies a lot. Maybe every day to twice a week or less depending on what I feel like doing.

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)?
I draw really slowly, and I'm pretty sure I only get slower as the years go by. Nowadays for one character it's like 1-3 hours for scrap doodles, 3-6 hours for cleanly lined/shaded, and 7+ hours if I add a background. Usually more because bgs take me a long time. :(

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future?
Nothing much, I just draw for fun.

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private?
I'm not really against it if people ask to see for the most part, but otherwise I tend to keep it to myself.

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing?
5, I like my style enough but it's still not good enough for me haha.

When did you start drawing?

age zero, legit. drew on any surface i could get my hands on as soon as i could hold a pen.

Why did you start drawing?

hELL if i knew lmao

What influenced your art style (the way you draw)?

that's a hard question. i joined deviantart in 2009 and was inspired by the multitude of wolf artists at the time that all drew the same (kayfedewa, blueshinewolf, etc.) but idrk what happened after that. i just took my own path i guess.

What do you typically like to draw?

more or less anything. animals the most though.

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing?

eh, most people tell me i'm good with expressions and shading, so i'll just go w/ that. i don't like patting myself on the back.

What are your weaknesses?

realism. even if i have a clear reference, it'll always end up cartoony.

What, under any circumstance, will you NEVER want to draw?

NSFW.

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters?

male. no reason though, i just do i guess.

How often do you draw?

daily.

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)?

for sketches, about three minutes. full pieces are 1 - 3.5 hours.

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future?

no idea.

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private?

nOPE

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing?

negative 8 lmao

When did you start drawing?
- i think drawing and creating is a part of most peoples' early childhoods; especially given how often crafts are used in school. i can recall my art from when i was super young being framed in my grandparent's house, so i guess pretty young! and digitally i started in 2009, i wanna say? funnily enough i skipped the ms paint phase and went straight to a flash website sorta deal called ratemydrawings. from humble beginnings

Why did you start drawing?
- umm... 'why' is hard. because i wanted to create, i guess. i was motivated from the things i'd seen around me-- comic books and art-- and wanted to do the same?! i dunno, i can't really recall that far back. now it's more because i want people to acknowledge i can do something besides sit around/because i want attention. lol

What influenced your art style (the way you draw)?
- hmm... as it is now, i guess artists like shmorky and the general feel of older cartoons that use simplified designs and colors and shapes. i've never been good at intricate or realistic stuff, so i stick to my usual lines and flat colors, lmao. some of my fave artists include qeti, itsyamtastic, nu!, sugimori's older works, my life as a teenage robot, shigenori soejima, zone-sama ... that sorta stuff! i have a lot more influences but... y'know

What do you typically like to draw?
- long comics that actually aren't very funny and usually center around a bad punchline, boys with really long eyelashes, crossdressing and primarily fanart (atm it'd be persona four, primarily). usually i just draw whatever i like and if i'm feeling down, whatever i think people will like to see, lol.

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing?
- umm... comic making, i guess. and making stuff cute, even though that's never what i really aim for? that's about it. some people say i'm good at hands, but i dunno about that, haha!

What are your weaknesses?
- text placement in comics, shading, realism... lots... and lots...!

What, under any circumstance, will you NEVER want to draw?
- fetish stuff, i guess. but never say never amirite

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters?
- males................................................. just lately because all of my favorites in persona four are male, haha. i draw plenty of women whenever; i don't have a preference or anything.

How often do you draw?
- everyday. it's the only way to grow and improve! practice makes good-er

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)?
- matters what it is! if it's a comic it'd be something like three hours and if it's... anything else, probably one or two hours. that's with effort, though. my girlfriend noted how fast i draw, so i guess i draw fast? or she just draws super slow

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future?
- nothing! i do not ever never EVER want to make a career in art. that's why i don't care about the stuff i make and how good it is... it don't matter, cus i'm not doing anything with it. it's just something to do! i just goooo with the flooooow

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private?
- people irl tend to like my stuff better, so i always show 'em if they wanna see. it's not like i draw anything too weird, especially when i go to an art school full of people who wear furry fox tails and attack on titan shirts. i'm pretty normal compared lol

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing?
- subjective! who knows.

When did you start drawing?
I started getting into drawing around 2012

Why did you start drawing?
I think it was because I was really getting into anime more than before and that I found video tutorials

What influenced your art style (the way you draw)?
I enjoy going on image searching sprees, and during the process I would look over the pictures I've saved and try to learn what aspects of them I like and attempt to mimic/include it in my next few drawings.

What do you typically like to draw?
Cyoot grills <3

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing?
I'm not sure
Does suddenly having bursts of inspiration and motivation to draw 4 in the morning count?

What are your weaknesses?
I occasionally screw up the body proportions, which is why I don't post a lot. When I make a mistake I prefer to start over rather than waste more time trying to fix it.

What, under any circumstance, will you NEVER want to draw?
I'm pretty sure I'm open to anything

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters?
I can't draw guys ^^

How often do you draw?
When I feel like it, which can be huge drawing sprees, or can be long breaks of not drawing for 3 months

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)?
When I get really into it I spend about 6 hours on a picture. This only happens when I have those inspiration and motivation bursts

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future?
lewd stuff

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private?
Sometimes I do, depending on who it is.

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing?
I hate judging my own skills because it's pretty subjective, so I'm not sure? 5/10?

EDIT: Formatting

When did you start drawing? I started drawing jet fighters when I was eight; I broke into anime styles sometime near 2012

Why did you start drawing? One time, I saw an F-117 Nighthawk fly over my school. I drew it up (terribly) to show what I saw (noone believed me :1). I then realized that drawing jets was dang fun. More recently, I began drawing anime because I picked up a game called Armored Core, which got me into drawing mecha, which eventually got me drawing anime.

What influenced your art style (the way you draw)? Video games, nowadays, or anime I watch recently.

What do you typically like to draw? Mostly mecha, weapon/vehicle designs or people.

What are your strengths when it comes to drawing? I think I'm quite good at designing things (that go pew pew or boom), and I've noticed that I have a knack for drawing buildings.

What are your weaknesses? I suck horribly at people, especially full bodies.

What, under any circumstance, will you NEVER want to draw? A pot of flowers.

What do you draw more of: male characters, or female characters? Female, although I've been tending towards the male side of drawing recently.

How often do you draw? Official drawings I don't do many of nowadays, mainly once every couple of weeks. I doodle a he'll of a lot in my work books though.

How much time do you spend on a drawing (on average)? On a bored doodle, probably ten minutes to half an hour. On an actual thing, probably a few hours or disparately throughout a week or so.

What do you plan to do with your drawing skills in the future? I really really really want to improve my people drawing skills for an anime style.

Do you like to show people your drawings IRL, or do you just keep them private? Only some of my better ones.

And finally, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good are you at drawing? 7.8/10 too much mecha
In a world of war and conflict, an extermination throws the last great bastion of peace into aggression. In the midst of this, a child sorcerer seeks justice for his fallen home. A repentant assassin and a messenger of the future rush to save their last refuge from destruction. The dead return, backed by a forgotten god. Ideals clash. Morals crumble. And it will not end until one half of the world stands in the ashes of the other.
