On the cliffs at the edge of Zinkenstill, the Grandcypher's crew saw a mysterious girl in blue armor with pale hair and dark skin.

Xeta pointed at Zooey. "Oh look, it's Visa-chan!"

Zooey, the Grand Orders. Over a dozen azure dragons flanked the keeper of balance, guarding her.

"Wait, we need 150 feathers from her dragons to make a cosmic weapon?" said Spark.

"30 horns will also do," said Maestra.

Grand Order's eyes flashed. Drawing her sword, she slowly turned to face the crew, her dragons uncoiling.

"Oh sdfdsghkl, she's looking this way," said Rai. "Look out!"

...

Spark held up the beacon. One after another, airships from across the skydom arrived at Zinkenstill.

"Let Me Help!"

"Let Me Help!"

"Let Me Help!"

Skyfarers landed on the cliffs all around Grand Order, casting raidwide buffs as they touched ground.

The sky flashed with lightning. Mae, Spark, Rai, and Xeta signaled to their teams and charged at Grand Order. A wall of wind swept from Spark's dragon spear as Yuisis's blade swung at Grand Order with golden light.

Rai thrust her four-sky blade toward Grand Order. Frost shards formed a razor lattice extending from the tip of the dagger, slicing at Grand Order. Next to her, Feower traced sigils on the air, casting curses on Grand Order.

Swish swish flash swish thunk slash slash bang swing flash dokkan swish flash thunk pew pew smash swish flash slash.

Thunder shook the battlefield as Grand Order climbed onto a dragon mount. The heavens darkened, revealing the stars.

"Look!" gasped Lyria. "Level 100 Peacemaker's Wings has fused with Level 100 Peacemaker's Wings!"

"Lyria no," said Maestra as she fired at Grand Order.

...

Slowly, the dust cleared, revealing Zooey. Collapsed skyfarers and azure dragon feathers were strewn at her feet. "Is it over?" said Mae faintly, getting up.

Smiling, Zooey sheathed her sword, and a massive golden chest appeared in front of Mae and her officers. With a small bow, Zooey vanished.

"What just happened?!"

The island of Agastia shuddered as Freesia activated her Super Evil Death Reactor of Mega Destruction (tm). But in a twist of fate, Pommern saw the effects of the reactor on the people of Erste and opened the gates for the crew.

"Thanks, old geezer," said Mae as she hurried inside.

"Thanks, Pomegranate," said Xeta as she hurried inside.

"Thanks, Mustachio," said Spark as he hurried inside.

"Thanks, Kata's ex-boss," said Rai as she hurried inside.

"It's Pommern!" cried Pommern as the rest of the crew hurried inside.

...

Meanwhile, Fenrir was guarding the dungeon, where Typh and his team were locked up. "Someone, help!" yelled Typh, rattling the bars.

"Don't fret, Typh," said Korwa, who had somehow brought her desk into her cell. "The others will come for us soon. For now, just enjoy the moment, hm?"

Typh and Sen had been put in the same cell. Typh's face went red as Sen rubbed her cheek on him.

"It's nice to finally get some time off our feet, isn't it?" said Sen, happily rubbing her cheek on Typh's shoulder.

Typh looked around frantically. "We gotta get out of here!"

Sen stared up with wide eyes. "Eh? So soon?"

Magisa chuckled. "Secretly, Typh likes it here."

"No I don't!" yelled Typh.

...

On the first floor waited Furias, fully mecha. "Outta the way, midget, we already fought you like thirty times," said Maestra, kicking Furias out the window and hurrying up the stairs.

On the second floor waited Gandharva. "I wanna fight Lecia," said Gandharva.

Rai stabbed Gandharva and he fell over. "Hey, should we do something about Loki?" said Spark.

"Nah, he's just the emperor," said Xeta. "It's not like he's actually important to the empire."

Gandharva stood up. "Ha! Is that your best? You'll have to do better--"

Rai stabbed Gandharva several more times and he fell over again. "Can we get a move on?" said Apollonia.

Rai stared at her Certified HL award. "I came, I saw, I thirsted," said Rai.

Meanwhile, Xeta and Spark were swapping stories. "And then Clarisse arrived and blew Tiamat up," said Spark. "Dokkan."

"Dokkan," said Xeta.

"Dokkan?" said Spark.

"Dokkan!" said Xeta.

"Dokkan," said Spark.

"Dokkan," said Xeta.

"Dokkan," said Spark.

Smiling awkwardly, Clarisse slowly backed away from Xeta and Spark. Turning, she took out two red harps and stuffed them into Mae's and Typh's hands. "Dancho, Typh! How about I fight under you guys, okay?"

Typh stared down at his Certified HL award. "I will be strong!" said Typh as De La Fille gently ran her fingers along his arm while a smiling Yggdrasil touched her forehead to the back of Typh's neck.

Spark was showing Silva, a talented sniper, around the Grandcypher. "Anyway, that's Typh, the resident lolicon," said Spark, pointing at Typh.

"I'm not a lolicon!" yelled Typh.

Silva nodded. "Gotcha. Not a lolicon, just a harem master."

"Agh! Sparks, what are you telling the new recruits?" Typh tried to grab Spark, but Anthuria took his hand and twirled him around while Sen gave him a big kitty hug.

On the other side of the boat, Perceival tapped his sword to Avilin's shoulders and head. "Now you, too, are my vassal."

"Wish I could be a vassal too," muttered Mae.

Lunalu's eyes lit up. "Oh, but think about it, Mae. Percival and his loyal servants, Dot and Al... their hearts beat only for their lord... ufufufufu~"

Meanwhile, Sarunan was coughing up blood, a dangerous look in his eyes. "U k der, sourman?" said Xeta.

Sarunan covered one eye. "No... yes! Agh..." Turning, his eyes fell on Camieux. "I see nowe. Must... brainwash... children..."

Eyes narrowing, Silva loaded her rifle. "Hey dude, no," said Mae sharply, clocking Sarunan over the head with a giant slab of salt. "Brainwashing kids is a really, really bad idea."

"You mean like putting crystals in aquariums?" said Xeta.

Mae went red. "Sh-shut up!" she yelled. "Anyone could make that mistake, okay!"

Ferry Ever After: Part 6

Mae and her crew arrived at the house on the hill. A lone ghost girl stood outside, gazing up at the sky.

Mae frowned. "Something's not right here. We're being watched."

Ark stared at the girl, breathing heavily. "Hi there," said Typh, waving. The ghost ignored him.

"Maybe her tongue was cut out," whispered Spark.

Shrieking, Typh curled up into a ball. "I can hear you, you know," said the ghost girl, turning to face them.

...

Rai pulled out her telescope and stared up at the house on the hill. Her eyes widened. "Is that Xet's crew...? So they're here too."

Melleau and Agielba were being awfully quiet. "Hey, say aomething, guys," said Rai.

Instead, she heard a sword being drawn. "Looks like Mae was right, someone was spying on us," said Katalina, pointing her sword at Rai.

...

They soon discovered that the ghost didn't remember her name.

"Hold up! We can't just make up a name for her," protested Rackam.

"Her name's Ferry," said Drang. Sturm ppked him with her sword.

"Let's call her Sachiko," suggested Spark lightly.

"NOOOO!" screamed Typh.

"Her name's Ferry," said Drang. Sturm ppked him with her sword.

"Let's call her whipbae," murmured Ark.

"You need help," said Xeta.

"Her name's Ferry," said Drang. Sturm poked him with her sword.

"Ahem," said Katalina, returning with Rai, Agielba, Ardora, and Melleau, all holding up their hands. "I found some spies..."

Spark, Typh, and Xeta watched as Carren ran around the beach "Hey guys, let's play," called Carren.

"I'm sure one of you two would love to hang out with a cute girl like her," said Korwa, winking at Typh and Spark.

Spark and Typh exchanged glances. "Uh, no, she's practically a kid," said Spark.

Xeta and Korwa looked at Typh. "Hey, don't look at me," said Typh indignantly as Anthuria and Magisa rubbed sunscreen on his back.

"Hey, Yuel! Wait up," called Ark as Yuel ran around the beach looking for fish.

"I'm hungry! Kon-kon," said Yuel, diving into the water and emerging with a nice tasty fish. "I wonder if Typh would like this?"

On a sand dune, Percival watched the crew playing. He smiled with satisfaction, exuding all the dignity of an emperor..

"Go, Mae! You can do it," whispered Lunalu, pushing Mae forward

"W-wait! Dancho must not be seen in her swimsuit," stammered Mae, stumbling toward Percival. "Eep!"

His firm, gentle arms scooped her up. "Careful there, dancho," said Percival, tenderly brushing Mae's hair out of her eyes. "You wouldn't want to injure yourself on vacation, right?"

Ferry Ever After: Part 7

"This is a cursed island that has trapped many innocents," said Ferry darkly. "Doomed to wander these trails for the rest of your days... unable to escape this living hell."

"Really? This place doesn't seem that bad," said Xeta.

"Are ya kidding me?" cried Vyrn. "The apples are poisonous. This has gotta be some kind of hell!"

Mae loaded fresh bullets into her Tiamat Bolt Omega. "Hey, Celeste darkened this island in the first place, right?" said Mae. "We just gotta do something about Celeste then, and we can escape."

Ferry turned away, revealing her back because her dress was backless like most Erunes. "Don't look at me. I'm the one who brought Celeste here."

"Let's go to the place where Celeste first appeared to you," said Xeta. "Maybe you can get Celeste to reappear."

"And as for you," said Maestra, pointing at Rai. "Why were you spying on us? You with the imperials?"

Rai held up her hands. "Heck no! I'm just a skyfarer like you guys. Skyfarer, treasure hunter, and sniper."

Spark squinted at Rai. Rai was carrying a ton of knives and swords, but no guns. "Sniper?"

"Oh yeah, they don't let me carry a gun," said Rai. "So I shoot this instead." She proudly held up a sword made of casino chips.

Mae and Xeta exchanged glances. Suddenly, Rai's eyes widened, and she stood up abruptly. "Look out!" she yelled, pointing her sword at a zombie charging at Katalina.

The zombie bust into flames. Katalina stared at the zombie.

"Danchou, hey danchou," said Typh, tugging at Mae's sleeve. "Melleau travels with this lady, right? So Rai can't be all that bad! I trust in Melleauuu!"

Typh held up an Ipetam replica. "Soon," said Typh.

Rai held up a silver dagger relic. "Soon," whispered Rai.

Spark held up his bahamut dagger. "Soon," murmured Spark.

Ark stared at his rusted dagger. "So-"

Previously on "Mae held the pap":
Mae and her officers raced up the Imperial Tower.

Arriving at the reactor, the crew confronted Prime Minister Freesia. "Freesia, stop!" yelled Spark. "If you change history, you'll eliminate the need to change history and create a paradox!"

"What's a paradox?" asked Lyria. "Can I eat it?"

Freesia's eyes were filled with hatred and laughter. "I've come too far to turn back. I will rewrite history. I will make sweet love to Queen Viola!"

"Looking a little sick there, Fu-chan," said Xeta.

A flash of light. Activating the reactor's defenses, Freesia went mecha-spider as Leviathan Malice and Mithra Malice appeared.

"Snek god, no!" yelled Rai, loading her Tribunal Thunder as her team charged at Mithra Malice.

"I hate clocks!" said Spark, twirling his spear as his team charged at Levi Malice.

"Boss rush, what a pain," said Mae, drawing her dagger as her team charged at spider-mech Freesia.

Meanwhile, Xeta and her team ran to the reactor. "This thing doesn't even attack," said Xeta, kicking the reactor.

...

"The others!" gasped Typh. "We have to help them. Sen, please...!"

Taking a deep breath, Sen looked up at the ceiling. "Nya... nya... nya..."

Eyes widening, Fenrir fled. "Lokiiii! Cats are weird!"

...

The reactor unleashed a barrage of missiles, blasting the crew off their feet. "Yes! Now face oblivion!" shouted Freesia, scuttling around as Mae glared up at her. "Ohohoho--"

"...nya-nya-NYA!"

At that moment, Sen came blasting up through twelve floors like a rocket, knocking over Freesia and the two Malices.

"Hey, guys!" gasped Typh as he and his team climbed out after Sen, coughing on the thick dust. "Ack... I'm here. What're we punching?"

"Look out!" yelled Mae, pointing. The reactor was aiming a second round of missiles straight at Sen.

Typh's jaw dropped. "Eh?" whispered Sen. "I... b-but... but I... ah... ah, ah, ACHOO!"

Sen sneezed and the reactor instantly went kaput.

Ferry Ever After: Part 8

Standing in a graveyard, Mae's crew stared as a ghost ship emerged from the fog. Spark's eyes widened as Celeste descended.

"Nice boat," said Mae in her aidoru outfit, plucking her harp as Lyria summoned Lucifer.

Spark raised his +13 Dragonfliar Cutter and jabbed at Celeste's boe while Carmelina levitated with her spinning hoop.

Typh slashed at Celeste's hull as Magisa set it on fire.

Sarunan was too busy talking to ghosts, so Xeta distracted Celeste while Metera shot at Celeste's mast.

Yuel drew her sword as Ark hesitantly raised his axe behind her. "Ay! Let's get going, shall we?" said Yuel, charging at Celeste.

"Stick close to me," ordered Katalina to Rai. They pointed their swords at Celeste, releasing blasts of fire and ice.

With a loud airhorn, Celeste began to retreat. "It's working!" gasped Ferry, watching in awe.

"Wait!" yelled Sparkleaf furiously. "Don't let it get away!" Startled, the others stared as the fox ran after Celeste

A hand on his wrist, stopping him. His eyes widened. Slowly, he looked back at Yuisis. "Yui...?"

She didn't reply. Her eyes were hidden behind her bangs.

"Ferry? Where's Ferry?" said Ark suddenly. The rest of the crew looked around. "Ferry!"

...

While Mae and the story SRs went searching for Ferry, the rest of the crew returned to the Grandcypher.

"What was all that about?" asked Rai.

"Back when Spark was captain, Celeste hijacked our ship," explained Xeta.

Rai blinked. "So Celeste's body--"

"That was our old ship, yeah," said Typh as Sen lay her head on his lap.

Sparkleaf stared out the window the whole time. Yuisis looked at him uncomfortably, then glanced away."Okay, but what's up with her?" said Rai, pointing at Yuisis.

"Maybe she's worried? But she's never mentioned him, so, eh." Xeta shrugged. "Anyway, dancho's not back yet. Think she found Ferry?"

At that moment, the lights began to flicker. "Is this a message from the ghost girl of Tramont Island?" gasped Ark, pointing.

Blood-red letters were suddenly appearing on the table: S o r r y h a d t o g r a b a b i t e t o e a t

This is a story from the crew's early days.

Xetaja, Maestra, Sparkleaf, and Metatyph gathered outside the shrine at Zinkenstill.

"So if we can just get our hands on a horn, we can get Sierokarte to forge a Bahamut weapon," said Xetaja, drawing her sword.

Sparkleaf twirled his spear. "What Bahamut weapon should we go after? We need one that matches our races."

Mae looked at the others. "We've got two humans and an Erune," said Mae. "If we had a Primal, any Baha weapon would work."

"I'm not an Erune," said Spark. "Do I count as a primal beast?"

"So we've got two humans and a primal," said Xeta. "Let's go for a Baha dagger."

"Wait! I'm an Erune," said Typh, patting his Erune ears.

Frowning at Typh, Maestra snatched the Erune ear headband off his head, revealing his Harvin ears. "A human, a Harvin, and a primal," said Mae. "Guess we have a nice Tezcat build."

"No! I'm an Erune!" insisted Typh desperately, trying to grab the Erune ears back.

"Ah, ah, ACHOO!" Sen sneezed and the reactor instantly went kaput.

In a desperate move, Freesia used the power of Mithra to give herself infinite 1up stock. "What the hell, Fu-chan," said Xeta.

Spark, Xeta, Typh, Rai, and their teams surrounded Freesia. "Dancho! We'll keep her busy," said Spark, paw-saluting Mae. "You go after Akasha!"

"Wow, am I just here to look dark and edgy or something?" grumbled Apollonia.

Mae nodded. "Thanks, guys. See you on the other side!" She and her team charged at Akasha...

...That was an hour ago.

Korwa wove a fabric of miracle wards while Gawain cast a barrier as Akasha blasted Mae's team with blinding particles of light.

Drawing her dagger, Mae grit her teeth. "You think you can salt, huh? Lemme show you...!"

A triangular aura spun around Mae team as she stabbed at Akasha, accelerating their movements.

Birdman smacked Akasha around with his spear as Scathacha swiped with glowing claws.

Akasha, manipulator of fate. Reversal of fate, fruition of promise, omen of forfeit. "Hell no!" snarled Mae, kicking Akasha in the face...

...The walls of Akasha's chamber flashed and disappeared, showing the stars. Akasha brought her hands together. "Now, let the cycle of fate complete," declared Akasha. "Sky-Rift!"

Where the ceiling should be, the heavens split open. A torrent of absolute light rained down, engulfing Maestra and her team.

Gasping for breath, Maestra sank to one knee. Blood trickled down the side of her head. Korwa, Scatha, Gawain, and Birdman stared at Mae, all about to collapse.

"Djeeta!" shouted Lyria, horrified.

Though barely upright, Maestra glared at Akasha fiercely."Next, you'll say, 'There's nothing you can do with just 1 HP left."

"There's nothing you can do with just 1 HP left!" declared Akasha, raising her arms.

Maestra gestured with her hand. Her seven Tiamat Bolt Omegas were floating in midair, lined up in a row. Enmity was at max power.

"FIRE!"

Ferry Ever After: Part 9

"We couldn't find Ferry," said Mae as she returned to the ship, exhausted. Lunalu hugged her sympathetically.

Korwa whispered into Mae's ear, and she perked up right away. "But there's gotta be some places we haven't checked yet," she added fiercely.

"I can search the hills," said Spark.

"I can search the town," said Typh.

"I can search around the lake," said Xeta.

Ark stood up. "Dancho, can I help?"

"Just don't get lost," said Mae. "What about you, Rai?"

"I'll keep watch over the boat," said Rai.

"I''ll keep an eye on Rai," said Katalina.

...

Ark was lost. "I'm not lost! I never get lost," insisted Ark.

Yuel pointed. "Oh look! A zombie rabbit. I wonder if they run faster than normal ones?"

Sighing, Ark scanned his surroundings as Yuel ran off. His eyes widened as he spotted a figure at the edge of a cliff. Could it be?

...

"Ferry!" called Typh, making his way through town. "Where are you?"

Sen clung to Typh's arm. "Typh, I don't like this place. All the mice are zombies..."

"I know. But I have to help the others!" Typh peeked inside a shack that left its door open. "Ferry? You in here?"

Hesitantly, Sen followed Typh inside the shack. "Typh, I don't think Ferry's here," whispered Sen.

"Wait, what's this?" wondered Typh aloud, staring at a large object covered with a white cloth.

"Typh, no!" gasped Sen. "You'll scar yourself for life!"

Too late. Typh's morbid curiosity made him pull the cloth off.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

...
"Ferry!" called Ark as he ran up to the figure on the cliff. She didn't respond.

"You don't have to be alone anymore, okay?" said Ark gently.. "I'll never abandon that chest, those thighs--"

"&&&&&&&&&&&&&&?" said Celeste, turning to face Ark.

Screaming, Ark tried to run and fell on his ass.

Smiling, Percival placed his arm around Mae's shoulder.

Lunalu hastily shut her notebook.

Percival scanned the park. "Hm... where shall we go next?"

Mae squeezed Lunalu's and Percival's hands. "Eh... I dunno, where do you want to go?" she said, trying to sound casual.

Ferry Ever After: Part 10

As Ark scrambled back from Celeste, a glowing whip swung out and lashed at Celeste. "Get away!" cried Ferry. "Haven't you taken enough from me? I never wanted to summon you..."

Growling, Celeste vanished.

Ark slowly got up. As their eyes met, Ferry quickly glanced away, "Hey, Ferry," said Ark. "It's okay You don't have to... uh... I'll never abandon those--"

"Yeah, yeah, I heard you with Celeste already," said Ferry. "What're you doing here? I got back and you guys wandered off."

"Oh," said Ark.

Ferry covered her face. "If Celeste is defeated, she'll lose her hold over this island. The villagers and I will vanish, but no one will ever be trapped here again."

She lowered her head. "Dot... will you help undo my mistake?"

Panic flickered briefly over Ark's face. "Okay! I'll do it, for both of you," said Ark, staring at Ferry's chest.
...

Meanwhile, Typh ran around town, shrieking. "Typh, wait! It was just an anatomical model," called Sen, chasing after hin.

"No! It's actually a siscon who got skinned alive!" cried Typh. "We gotta get outta hereeeee..."

Pouncing, Sen tackled Typh to the ground.

"Oh god oh god oh god oh god it's caught me," gasped Typh, eyes filling with despair. "Seeeeeeen! Run for iiiit-- ...mmph?!"

Flipping Typh onto his back, Sen covered Typh's mouth with hers to shush him.

"Sen?!"

A long silence. Mae and the others had returned. Sen's face went red and she pushed Typh away "I- I'm sorry! I just didn't want to use my claws...!"
