Here's what I wrote on the layout: "I really like the current homepage layout. The biggest thing that I think could be improved is making the homepage have more information for the registered users. My design rids us of the notifications link at the top. I don't think it's necessary to have the latest news at the top of the page, since members already look out for it if they care. I also don't think it makes sense to show information that users don't care about. So, I've added a JQuery toggle to all these unordered lists. I didn't finish the scripting, but you'd have to cookie or otherwise store what things show and what things don't.

I obviously didn't add in the navigation bar because I think it's extraneous to do so. It really isn't part of the homepage, since it's on all the pages, and I like its current design. I also didn't add in the styles for the homepage because I think they're great as they are. I LOVE the fact that there are several different icons. It makes the page so much prettier, and it makes me, as a user, want to use it more. I didn't add them in because I didn't feel like saving all those files. ;)"
