I have started the process of turning mom into a Doctor Who fan. So far it has been successful(she's started quoting lines from it in everyday conversation so this is a good sign), but part of me wonders if the only reason she likes it is because it isn't Star Trek, haha.

Me: Heeey. I've got 4 episodes of Doctor Who taped!
Mom: Meh.
Me: Oh, what's with the face? What's wrong with Doctor Who?
Mom: I just find it so boring.
Me: -le gasp- BLASPHEMY!
Me: Well, I'm watching it in here whether you like it or not!
Mom: You know, there's a TV in the other room?
Me: Nope, sorry, can't hear you!

Me: 2 Episodes left! Your torture is almost over.
Mom: Oh, it's not torture. I actually like it now. (kinda)
Me: Oh reeeally?
Mom: Yep.
Me: JUST AS PLANNED.
