REBIRTH

Posted August 2, 2014 at 8:51pm by Frosticoord

Hey there, fellow bros of the book! I've gotten some requests to get this club going again, and... hey, why not? Books are great, you guys are great, this club should also be great again!

Although I do understand that the beginning of the school year can be a bit stressful as far as work loads can go, I also feel like it's a good time to get back onto a set schedule. Because of this, I'm aiming to have a new book picked out by the first of September so that we can start reading straight away. So for now, please leave book suggestions in the comments of this journal! We'll be taking a vote starting on August 24th, and our book for September will be finalized a week after that.

So, comment away... and I hope this club grows to be a success again!

WOOT I am so happy you got this thing fired up again. I promise to contribute this time around :'|

Suggestion: Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. One of my recent favorites (recent as in recently read), it's mind-bendingly magnicifent :D

this was a good thing to wake up to :'|

The Art of Racing in the Rain, as nep suggested, as an incredible book imo uvu I'd also like to suggest The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld; it's a beautiful book and would have tons of things to discuss I think.

I'd like to suggest Fahrenheit 451. :D I'm amazed I haven't already suggested it, but I feel that a relatively short book like that now would help get Book Bros back on its feet.
