Europe: "Donald Trump won the election fair and square. Suck it up, Americans. Boycotts and protests won't change the vote. You live in a democracy, and the people have made their decision. Acting in this manner is just being a bunch of sore losers."

Also Europe: "90% popular vote means nothing. Catalonia is a part of Spain."

If Catalonia is so keen on becoming an independent state, let them go to war for it like the rest of us.

It's better to come to a peaceful resolution though. Besides, most countries haven't actually had to fight for their independence.

I was more addressing the European Union and their blatent disregard for the situation in Catalonia. When the police force of a "democratic" government opens fire on a peaceful referendum, it should be the responsibility of REAL democracies to attempt to control the situation and find a peaceful resolution, instead of looking the other way and telling the world that "it's not their business."
